故事就发生在近。在西方，人们如果在文章中发现了一个错别字，就会在它后面加一个[sic]，比如 pervide [sic]，表示 原文如此 ，通常有嘲笑、讽刺的含义。美国总统布什能讲一口流利的西班牙语，罕有的的缺点就是错别字多，于是南美国家委内瑞拉的一家报纸，用整版的篇幅，刊登了布什总统的一篇西班牙语讲演，其中的大量错别字，均用红色的[sic]标出，以此嘲笑布什总统，该国总统Hugo Ch vez甚至讽刺布什总统是analfabeto。
